One day in my life I saw your face, looked in your eyes,
A dream came true,
I was flying lost in space.

Breathing accelerated,
My heart, it almost stopped,
I had seconds to tell you the world you meant to me,
Written in my heart and in so many letters I've never sent to thee.

My soul reached out to you,

But I simply could not speak,

Was scared to sound stupid or bovine,
While nothing than I LOVE YOU came to my mind,

So I stood there,
Rendered still,
With a smile lighting up my face,
Couldn't say the words, kept them inside,
Afraid you'd just go and pass me by,
All I could say, it was your name,
For you to see,
That single red rose I held for thee,
That said everything and more without a sound,
The moment you took it,
I was so happy, even proud.
